We read this story at least once a week. I have found several typos. It is a simple and cute story. My daughter gives it 5 stars. She is the opinion that matters :)

Awesome little story for my young toddlers. We enjoyed the story and would recommend for any reader . My 5 yr old enjoyed it a lot.

Efrat Haddi has written many books in which she tells splendid stories using her social and personal skills and Abira Das illustrates her books with happy, colorful, child-friendly drawings. The pair produced books that delight and teach children.Elfie the Time Fairy is good hearted. She just reached an age where she is allowed to help humans. She wants to help children, the most important role of the fairies. In this adventure she teaches a child how to manage what she needs to do so that more time is left for enjoyable activities.This is an important lesson that children (and many adults) need to learn. By reading this book, they will learn it while enjoying the engaging tale that teaches it.

The Time Fairy is a charming book for toddlers and young children by the highly talented Efrat Haddi and I should add that the illustrations by Abira Das are very well done and quite colorful! The story moves along at a very good pace that will hold the attention of young children while even entertaining them and grownups can happily bond with young kids as they read this book together. Moreover, the vocabularies of young kids will be enhanced as they read this book and that’s truly very special.When the story begins, we meet Elfie, “a young fairy from the family of good-hearted fairies.” Elfie is very excited and happily looking forward to getting her “very important task’ from Suzanne, their leader because Elfie has turned eight years old and that is the time all young fairies get a most important responsibility. And how Elfie’s imagination is active: “Maybe Suzanne will let me be the fairy of beauty and maybe she will let me be the fairy of wisdom, Elfie thought to herself!”As it turns out, Suzanne makes Elfie a pink ribbon with a “clock symbol in the middle of it.” Elfie soon learns that this means she will be the time fairy; she will be responsible for teaching kids “how to get more time.” Suzanne soon comes to realize that all kids need to structure their time (as adults do, too) and for her first assignment Suzanne sends Elfie to help Kylie, a young girl who needs to structure her time in a better way. Kylie needs to better balance responsibilities with play so she can have more time than ever before to play. And indeed when Elfie gets to Kylie’s home she spies Kylie and a friend playing but Elfie also sees that Kylie’s mom wants Kylie to spend some time doing responsibilities like homework and chores like cleaning her room. Indeed, Elfie hears and sees Kylie say ““Whenever I have something fun to do, time just flies by. I wish I could get more time.”And the story turns out to have quite a happy ending—Elfie “(teaches Kylie) how to get more time so (Kylie) can enjoy doing more (fun) things.” Elfie tells Kylie the importance of doing all of her homework right away after she gets home from school and Elfie even tells Kylie not to make a mess in her room or dawdle over making up her room including putting away her clothes that aren’t in the closet, either—that way Kylie’s mom will be pleased and let Kylie have more time to play! Elfie herself learns the lesson that she is quite the competent teacher because of her success with Kylie and the book ends with Elfie looking forward to helping other young kids learn the importance of doing their chores and homework responsibilities so they too can have more time to play. What a great way to end the story!I highly recommend this fine book for toddlers and small children who will appreciate the important lesson that if you do your chores in a timely fashion you will be rewarded with more time to play with friends and enjoy other fun things. I particularly like how Efrat Haddi gives kids this message in a way that won’t make them uncomfortable—the story is all written in a very friendly manner. Great work as always, Efrat and Abira—please keep these excellent books for young kids coming!
